So what did Santa bring you this year relating to boats! No port and starboard socks for me this year they'll have to go another year!

I am planning to use 2018 to get used to boat and start UK circumnavigation in 2019. No decision on if I complete it in a season, all depends on whether and weather!

Nice one - I have a tideway too... excellent boats and ideal for the days when you only have a short time or you just want to float on a river in the sun and drink beer. Will yours be at Marconi too?

I've been good this year and Father Christmas gave me a navy Musto snug jkt, a blue Dubarry sweater, a Royal Yacht Brittania scarf and RY Brittania sailing yacht cuff links. I had a birthday just before Christmas and received a 2018 Reeds Eastern Almanac, a 2018 Reeds Small Craft Almanac (that came with the explanation that "people who bought this (the eastern almanac), also bought that"! ) and a copy of Erskine Childers - The Riddle of the Sands. I think I'm very lucky and am very grateful, but I would covet a fluxgate compass and a waterproof blue tooth speaker!
