Firstly, A happy new year to all you forumites.

What are you doing?

SWMBO and I are having an anti-social time in tonight, we were going to go out into Chichester, but we can't be ar**d.

Who wants to go to some overcrowded pub, pay £30 to get in for a few sausage rolls and sandwiches, (especially when it will cost nothing tommorrow) get pushed and shoved by abunch od drunken louts and end up waiting in the cold at 1:00AM for a taxt to extort huge sums of money from us.

Look, I'm not tight but I think that I have just grown up, OH NO I will be going sailing next.

I am cooking a chorizo etouffe, its a dish I sort of cribbed from a something I had in Louisiana a few years ago, It comprises, Chorizo, tomatoes, Chilli, garlic, okra and rice. FAB.

All washed down with plenty of bubbly and athick red or two.

Anyway, enough from me, what are YOU up to?

Whilst most of you will be celebrating that fine old scottish tradition some of us
will be rushed off our feet and working our fingers to the bone !!
But I may have a quick one at midnight. Drink that is.
Happy new year and fair winds to you all.

Keep on putting the tuna in the tins, the shelves in tesco's will be bare for the next few days as all the entire UK will start a diet, give up smoking and buy a new sofa on intrest free credit.

Happy new year to you

"Anti social night in" - I'm proud of you. I absolutely detest New Year's Eve and the "thou shalt enjoy yourself" organised fun that goes with it.
I've financed one son to go and see in 2004 in Brum and the other one in Edinburgh. Actually would have secretly quite liked to go to the Scottish experience but wasn't invited - can't think why/forums/images/icons/wink.gif
Anyway, quite happy to browse on here for a while and ponder over when I should actually buy another boat. Expect I'll pour myself a large Bowmore at about 23.45.
Hope you enjoyed your meal, and best wishes for next year.

Do people actually pay £30 to get into a pub ?
Need their heads examined imho !

Spending the evening at home with my family sharing a few bottles of wine, SWMBO has
prepared some tasty treats,
So we are sitting here getting nicely oiled !...

Happy new year to you all.
