What an arse!

I can confirm that;

a) It's not Mary Hinge

b) Her face is very nice.

c) It isn't Mrs Lakesailor (just to prevent speculation)

If I tell you any more I'd have to kill you. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

You guys obviously missed the empty milk carton offered last year. And the bit of toast that had a picture of the Madonna of it.

Seriously, put something up on ebay and some mug will bid for it. Unless it a copy of PBO however it seems.

so I've heard

but not being one of the fans , harumph

I just posted this as a buying enquiry :

You are not authorized to sell this item !!!

It is given away free by the RNLI ( a registered charity ) and is not for resale or redistribution.

Selling this is not only illegal but also immoral as you are snatching away potential funds for the RNLI.

I will give you the benefit of the doubt by allowing you 24 hours to withdraw this item. If it is still listed after 24 hours I will report you to eBay and the RNLI Legal Department.

I just got this as a reply !!!

it does not say on the booklet not for resale or redistribution. Therefore you are either mistaken or bluffing. Go ahead and report all you want - I am certainly not breaking any Ebay rules...

Email sent to RNLI

I've Emailed the RNLI.

"Are you aware that someone is selling several copies of your "Sea Safety Guide" on Ebay. One of the adverts can be viewed here.
He stated that he obtained them via your website and that he does not intend donating any of the proceeds to the RNLI.

I'll post the answer here.

Good afternoon, I thought since you have all gone to so much trouble in messaging me and sending me the link to this thread, I would come and give my point of view. I am not breaking any law - I have flicked through the book and it does not state NOT FOR RESALE/REDISTRIBUTION. I don't know specific rnli rules, but i am 100% not breaking any ebay rules, as some of you have indicated. I have been completely honest regarding all of your comments, I would like to repeat that I do donate to the RNLI when they have their fun day thing in Abersoch, North Wales in the summer. I am only 18 and I am living by myself with a car to run and bills to pay. So every £2.98 I can get is handy. I appreciate selling these is slightly morally wrong, but that simply does not bother me. Also, as you give these out free, I am not diverting any potential RNLI funds to me, because you give them away free anyway. Finally I am not an arse. Thanks

So why not use your ebay skills and initiative to legitimately sell stuff on ebay for benefit of both yourself and the RNLI and gain some morally higher ground? P'raps donate a quid per sale to RNLI at least. What next, reselling Big Issues?

[/ QUOTE ] I think you may have a conflict between this statement and "I am not an arse"

If you were to give £1 from each sale to the RNLI, just think how good you could feel about it, and directly help the charity as well.
