It is what is commonly known as a ripoff ... you are making profit out of a charitable organisation, and unfortunately there are gullable ppl out there who will buy something that they could get for free.

You point out the fact that it maybe morally wrong in what your doing, and we all agree with you.

The part that is getting up our snouts is, that these guys, are predominately volunteers, and we try our hardest to assist them by raising funds and donating.

Being all sea farer's on here, you must be able to see our point.

Well done for standing up, there aren't many 18 year olds who have the balls to do that.

All I ask is, if you are earning out of this, do a good deed to repay the debt to the RNLI, ........................Chi and all that!

Credit where due , you have responded , albeit not in the way we would have hoped for . What you fail to understand is that the donations made by myself and others is what funds these so called 'free' items , they're not donated by anyone , it is our money that pays to have them produced and circulated .
If you're still reading these replies , get in touch with me and you'll be able to use your e bay skills to earn moral money , possibly a way for you to earn without upsetting anyone . Nothing illegal or immoral in mind , before anyone thinks it .
So Paul , your choice , but are you even reading by now

I do understand what you are saying, but surely the people buying these on Ebay are still benefiting from them? More so than people that just pick them up as they are walking past stalls or wherever you distribute them, as Ebay buyers are actualy paying for them so you know that they definitely want them. So your donations which go towards creating these guides are not being wasted at all - it is not as though I am throwing them away. Shouting the word 'arse' with a few !!!'s at me is pointless. If selling these makes me an arse then that is your opinion but I disagree. I still have not been presented an argument which would justify me removing them from Ebay. I am not ripping anyone off except possibly the buyers on Ebay, but then again, this is a decent product and is work £3 if it wasn't available free.
 
Have you thought of a career as a Lawyer or Chartered Accountant?
They can't see the moral side of a case unless it happens to coincide with the legal issues, either.

Come on, you must be able to see the point that it is our funds which pay for the production of these, so they can be distributed FREE OF CHARGE to fellow sea goers.

I really don't believe you are that niaive.
 
Of course I can see that but the bottom line is that I want to make some money. Can't be bothered with this forum anymore, I have given you my view. If I were you I would probably be pissed off too as there is very little you can do about it. You need to get a copyright on them or something. Thanks for your time.
 
what you fail to see is that I was offering you the opportunity to use your skills and earn money without being immoral , as it stands , I haven't called you any names or made any judgement on you . I don't know you so wouldn't normally make any judgement , but I'm afraid it seems that the others are right , and if you think that nothing can be done you could turn out to be very wrong


If the people on here decided to buy your stocks of what we consider to be a product we have paid for , but we also chose not to pay you , you'll end up wasting your time re listing continuously , and each time , selling to someone on here , so yes , there is something we can do

all you need to do is get a new user name , then keep the bids slightly over the other bids so he doesn't know who's from here and who's not , but it shows he's realised that there is something we can do , maybe he'll re-think
