Trying to get through to port control in Poland that we were "at anchor" and not "a tanker", before AIS etc.
A trainee Tower Controller of my acquaintance came out with a lovely spoonerism:
'Shuttle 6 Taxi, Tango to the holding point runway xx'. The giggling pilot replied; 'thanks, we'll do our best'.
I sometimes forget, and sign off "Golf Echo Mike" - the callsign of the aircraft I fly!
I like the use of the term "roger" when used correctly and I would actively encourage "wilco" too.
Agreed or to use the American version, roger that.
