Has anyone got any experience of using a Whale Supersub Smart 650 automatic bilge pump, as I'm considering fitting one to a small bilge area on my boat.

Seems ok but cannot testify to its performance as it has never had to even run once !

Just taken my one out of wellcrafty due to selling boat, brilliant pump just watch were you mount it, the water sensor is really sensitive, I had problems with the pump running down the beam and touching the sensor but is was not enough water in the bilge to be cleared so the pump would just run. Eventually I changed it to manual switch using the white wire instead.
Very good pump, extremely quite and worth the money, just watch we're you mount it as it could run all day long and not remove any water until there is enough to suck it up , once wired up to test if the pump is working get you hands wet and touch the water sensor.
