neat trailer too

this was done by a Yankee KTL sailor called Rob Hoffman - you can see his other boat in the background

It probably wasn't as difficult as it looks; many years ago I did a similar colour scheme on the tank/fairing of a motorbike just using brushes, the results were brilliant and by no stretch of the imagination am I a painter - with the smaller areas I didn't get the usual 'runs' and the black demarcation lines could be 'tweaked' to disguise dodgy bits.

He must be an Art Teacher .... or something similar etc ...... but! ... I do like what he's done with the windows ..... making an old yacht / design look quite modern ...... so it's a 'thumbs-up' (for the windows) from me!

If only we where brave enough to paint all our boats in a similar but different scheme!

Well done that man in America.

Actually he could be opening up a whole new world. I could have painted my boat in flick painted spots or got my pre-school grandchildren to do finger painting etc. Who says that I had to work hard to get a decent even finish when with a little imagination I could have been much more creative?

but one of the few

I rather like it

Yes, me too. I suppose this sort of paint job can only be achieved by hand painting? Is there a process that could could achieve an individualised spray job? There's a system of vinyl skinning isn't there, I wonder if the vinyl skin could be randomly patterned? Would certainly cheer up the marinas if it caught on!

Cheers, Brian.
