I am trying to choose between the two boats, I am after a bilge keel version.
I have found plenty of info on the 336 and all sounds good, however I noticed in a post somewhere that the Ocean 33 might fit the bill but I am struggling to find much info on them.
I have trawled through the woa site and here and everywhere else but there is not that much practical experience of them out there.
It seems it goes well in light airs which will be one up on the moody but does it become a handful in a breeze, any experience good or bad would be great.

You are right, the Ocean 33 does go well in light airs, she has a fairly powerful rig especially with the fully battened main. In a breeze just reef down accordingly and she won't be a handful. In a breeze you will get better performance hard to windward with a neatly rolled flat genoa or a smaller headsail. With a baggy partly furled genoa the leeway on the wind can be dreadful. She is very maneuverable with the sail drive and deep rudder. NB my experience has been with the fin keeled version.

There were very few bilge-keel M336's built, and good ones are very hard indeed to find. I spent a couple of years looking, and gave up....
