Westerly headlinings

Looking for recommendations for someone to replace the foam/vinyl headlinings in a Westerly I have listed.

If the headlining is on ply boards it's not difficult to do yourself - one at a time, otherwise difficult to get back in place!
If it's on the hull itself then you need a specialist. More than 10 years ago I used Roger Nantais, based near Poole, will travel. Indeed following mine he was going to Greece to do one. He is still in business, but you need to book at least 6 months ahead. He did a super job for me. I had removed everything as part of a refit, including the windows, he arranged a date, confirmed a month beforehand, I posted keys to him and when it was done I went to inspect. I never even met him!
I had tried to find someone local to the East Coast but had no joy.
Things might have changed by now. You could try the Westerly Owners association .

I recently did my Discus. It's all on ply panels. If this one is on ply panels i'd offer to do it, if not i'm running away..................

Thanks all. The boat is a Riviera, currently laying on the Crouch. I have a buyer who has asked if I can get him a price for the work, the current owner has done the easy panels which are on boards and left the foam/vinyl that is stuck directly to the GRP.

Based on my ( admittedly old ) experience and how people dont want to do the work, and those who do have a waiting list, I would say £3-4k. Yes it's probably nearing 10% of the value of the boat - count yourself lucky the purchaser didn't want the cost of a new engine knocked off !

I would also recommend Roger Nantais, despite the need for him to travel from Hampshire. He used to do the trimming for Westerly on the new boats and comes with ready cut and sewn pieces to fit and does a superb job,

However, when I called him a couple of months ago about a headlining job on our Moody, he said he was now semi retired and got as much work as he wants locally, so doesn't travel for work any more.

I'll drop Roland a message and see how we get on with him.

Peter.
