The east coast forum seems rarely to stretch up along the Humber , let alone the River Trent . But we are near the East Coat so here goes....

Just got back from a long weekend including West Stockwith - one of our favorite stops.
I perhaps risk boring everyone with pics of our often vistied places

The forum may rarely do so, but don't go mistaking quantity for quality!

It has been said that the East Coast is a state of mind. (Or was it mud?)

Anyway, good to see more of it - I don't think I'd even heard of West Stockwith before, and now I've even found it on the map.:encouragement:

Quite a way from the coast but West Stockwith sees a good tidal range. As we departed out of the lock on Sunday the incoming tide added 3.5 knots to our speed through the water.

Indeed, and I remember the club members constructing a "den" for us small fry, to keep us out of mischief!

The yacht club is still there.

And very much thriving and part of the local community.

We are attending a wedding reception there over the August Bank Holiday.
