Barn Pool and row to Edgecombe if Cawsands seems exposed?

Barn Pool, by all means ( avoiding the charted obstructions ), but I wouldn't want the task of rowing around to the Edgecombe Arms OR rowing back. There's a 'Helluva tide' runs through The Narrows and it's more than likely you'd end up somewhere else.

Easier and quicker by far to land on the beach and walk around using the SW Coastal Footpath.

Used to dive Barn Pool when the weather was poor. Lots of scrap, wire and stuff chucked in there along with steep 45 degree sides covered in deep black sticky mud.

I know there is/was a decent anchor and 250' of chain down there, for an 'acquaintance' anchored in Barn Pool while prep'ing his catamaran for a charter...... then couldn't raise the anchor! The silly bleeder jettisoned the whole lot, didn't take cross-bearing on shoremarks, didn't think to add a buoy and line, didn't think to phone a nearby diving school for help. Silly boogr!
