Hi All,
I'm planning a week long trip to the west country week after next. I'm thinking of leaving the boat down there for about three weeks and returning by train as I have another week off in August. I like the idea of having the boat already down there for my second holiday and, if I leave the boat in Plymouth, for example, it is only a 3 - 4 hour drive from my home so we could pop down for a weekend between holidays so to speak. Does anyone have any recommendations of where I could leave my boat for three weeks in a safe and easily accessible location with out paying £500 or £600 that the 'big' marinas would charge.

How about Dartmouth harbour master pontoon, ring them up to get a quote.... They may even have a spare buoy.

Salcombe would probably have a swinging mooring going spare. No idea of cost but the harbour office are helpful.

I looked at this and there is a thread that people kindly contributed to about 10 days ago... Worth a look.

That said, I found the cheapest, and most helpful was the Dartmouth Harbour office although it was still going to cost £300-400 for 10 days. We have decided to do the trip from The Solent and enjoy lots of stops on the way.
