Driving back along the Strand at 16-20 this afternoon in slashing rain we saw a yacht sailing up river with just a jib, must have been truly vile out there.

Was it you?

I was out, and it was vile. Wind wasn't that bad (35kt in gusts), but the rain just did not relent. Locked out of Heybridge basin, which was fun because the wind was blowing almost straight into the lock. Then we headed up to Maldon to be craned out at Fullbridge, which has a nice lee close under the hill.

I don't suppose you want to know that this is where I am! I am working though!!!
Oh not that old story again.
It does look a bit like Jaywick, though. Watch out for yourself along there.
I was on board this morning, occasional sunshine before the rain arrived at lunchtime, rather blowy at times from the NE but the boat was steady as a rock, bless 'er.
Mainly because she's standing on the hard...

Well I'm off to Grenada tomorrow for 5 weeks sailing. Temp 27 to 30 deg C. Winds 12-15 knots from the East. Really looking forward to it. Up to the BVIs and back on an Island PAcket 460. Sounds like Heaven to me. Better than the Roach River in mid November with 35 knots of wind and constant rain.
