Do you think I'd be wasting my time, or just might someone take notice ?

On the way back into Sparkes on Sunday, passing H.I.S.C, two small powered vessels heading for the club cut right accross the channel in front of our bows, requiring us to take avoiding action (we were travelling at low speed,as I know from experience what can happen here)

SWMBO gave some "advice" to one of the boats (father with two children) about not cutting in front, whereas his reply was "but we're in the smaller boat"

Aside from being foolish enough to put yourself and children in front of a large heavy boat, both crews obviously had no knowledge of Col Regs. I would have though as members of the club, they would have some basic understanding of boat handling.

Do you think it is worth me writing to H.I.S.C asking them put up some signs and advising their members of the priorities/dangers of the area around the channel, or would I be wasting my breath?

Rant over

No point. HISC are the most arrogant bunch of ill informed tosspots you are ever likely to come across.

I am sure they must have some decent, considerate, normal memebers somewhere, but maybe they only let them out after dark or in the winter?

They generally seem to beleive that they have a God given right to be on the water, and everyone else should just get out of the way, or more prefeably just get off their water immediatly.

Its the way the place their start/finish lines across the major channels in the height of the summer and then take great pleasure in complaining loudly at everyone 'gettin in their way' whilt trying to navigate the harbour.

Save your breath, speaking to them will get you no where....
