When a friend of mine sailed round Britain last year they anchored for the night just inside Spurn Head.

Isn't that where the only fully manned RNLI station in the UK is?

Not wanting to put Nathan off, I understand it is because the road along the spit gets washed away rather than the Lifeboat is exceptionally busy!
