your fame now precedes you Sir /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Oh dear. I was following the HM and looking like a zombie... which [--word removed--] took a picture of it? /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Theres more water under the southern end of the pontoons there, I seem to recall the beer being cheaper in the edinboro up the hill than the golden fleece, the ark royal was quite pricy last time we were there, not that I'm encouraging you to have a beer!
Go on have a beer...

Come on, I wouldn't go that far. We all very well know that mobo's cause death in baby seals, global warming, and nuclear holocaust.

I really want to try being a junkie for a weekend. It seems, in theory, like such a more simple way to sail. No sheets getting caught in things on the foredeck/mast. No furling line to trip out of your crappy cheap plastimo furling gear thereby forcing you on to the foredeck in an F6 while you take a saltwater bath every 5 seconds whilst trying to untangle the line because you forgot to cleat it off and it got lose and... breath... no windward performance, but who cares, that's why we have engines.

Anyway, really, was a pleasure to meet him. Any man with a passion for boats gets my vote. I don't care how it moves, as long as it's skipper understands that wind beats diesel /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I wish my mobo was quick enough to catch a baby seal /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

since the wind farm thing, wells has become expensive for what it is,last year you could anchor in the harbour for free, now they charge a fiver, once it becomes 24/7 acess the charges will rocket,i overheard it being discussed.

The southern end of the pontoons are reserved for the boats with the deepest draught, the Hm will move the vessels with the shallower draught.

nathan, you can go up to brancaster and drop the hook in the pit for free, unless they have started charging for that as well

It really is as simple as it gets, tacking means pushing the tiller over, gybing is the same. Reefing/shaking out is a few seconds work, even heard from one junk user who went back to bermudan cos he got bored! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Windward performance difference is far less than folk (usually folk who have never used one /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif ) would have you believe. I've offered to take anyone out for a sail to prove I can tack within 90 degrees, no takers yet.....
Downwind, well ask Alex from Wainfleet. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

If I hadn't lawnmowered my foot I'd have been more than happy to take you for a day on The Wash. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I've lived in Chorley and Preston for years. There's nothing Grimsby can throw at me that I haven't seen before. I'll be ok. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
