...I had planned all the meals to be on board during this, for me, laying up week, However tonight's planned chicken stir fry had to be cancelled once I opened the chicken "boutis" from AB. Yuk! What a pong. Ah well it is actually the 12th their BB date however I had kept them at 0c or lower since wednesday.
Ochi problemo, quick shave and off to see Sue and Alexi. Place in darkness and a new sign "open every day except Sunday & Monday" OK they deserve the extra day (Sunday) off. So off I go for a wander. Pass George's take-away to be accosted by a guy apologising fo blocking me in with his car. Must have been a case of mistaken identity I think. Gerekos Fish Taverna looks to be in darkness (0915pm) so wander on. Pari's FT open but somehow I always find it a bit clinical and cold. Decide that a take away from George's is my best option so head there. Just as I reach Gerekos he walks out of the side door and asks me what I would like. "Fish would be nice" says I (you don't EVER ask for meat in Gerekos!) To which he responds "Are you Scottish? No says I. "English then?" Yes says I "You ever been to Scotland" Yes says I, it always rains. "Me I like Scottish people. Me I always put Scottish first then English" Fine says I and buggers off to George's for a take away chicken & chips at €3.20
I won't be visiting Gerekos again.
