My younger brother has just taken delivery of a new (to him) Maxi 1000.

I'm obviously dead happy for him, as it makes a change from him charging about Prestwick Bay in a Laser EPS.

My real problem is that he hasn't offered me a shot yet.

I gave him shots of my toys when we were younger.

Does the Forum think I should help myself when he's not looking?

That made me laugh. Though it reminds me of the time that my Corgi Morris Oxford - you know the one that had the plastic wheel on the roof that steered the front wheels - was mysteriously broken. He swears it winae him to this day....

What are may chances of getting away with a wee sail though? Would you notice if someone had takedn your pride and joy for a spin?

I know where the keys are.....

go for it
as the owner he will be in part be blined to its faults. so you should cast a critical eye oiver it .it is best for your subjectiveness if he is not on your shoulder clucking away
take it out for a good blast
then phone him up with a list of improvements he should make
he'll be most thankful i am sure.

Deviousity - not a good idea

Nasty wee scandiwegian plastick boatie.

Di'nae go near it. It'll dent n' scratch easier than an Austin Allegro.

Stick wi yer red arsed French beauty and entertain no thoughts o' playin awa or she'll have you in court quicker than a polecat up a kilt.

Besides if the wee mallock hies doon the harbour to give her a quick once over, and finds hers awa, he'll have one of tha' helichoppery things with ra Stratchclyde bogies swat team hanging oot ae it, boxing ra bay and takin potshots at every suspect object twist Glasgae an Glenmorangie.

Howiver, if youse was tae sneak aboard, and jam a wee corgi model of a Morris Oxford in tae ra steering gear, tha's jis fair play tha is.

Donald wheres yer troosers?

My Scots ancestry (surname after that quaint village off the M74 south of Glasgie) would be rotating in their grave. Leave the poor lad in peace. 'I gave him shots of my toys when we were younger...' do not mention this to SWMBO who may get the wrong idea. I feel, however, we may need further discussion regarding
a) Rabbie Burns
b) The Yanmar 2GM, which left me in the lurch recently off Malin Head.
PM me if you feel this helps.
