Does anyone know of a specific Bosch battery site which might have some dimensional & capacity information? A Google search just brings up dealers and scanty descriptions of their automotive range

which is lucas's site find your local depot and give them a ring,they are normally most helpful and knowledgable
they may stock bosch as well as there own but i'm not sure

This old news story extract concerns a takeover by Johnson Cotrols a large American company of Varta a large German battery manufacturer 20% owned by Bosch at the time.

reported fiscal 2001 sales of Euro 590 million and earnings before interest
and taxes (EBIT) of Euro 29 million. It operates six battery assembly plants
in Europe located in Austria, Czech Republic, France, Germany and Spain.
Varta manufactures automotive batteries for BMW, DaimlerChrysler, Ford, PSA,
Volkswagen and other automakers in Europe. The company is also a major
supplier to the European independent aftermarket, including customers such as
Robert Bosch GmbH, hypermarkets such as Carrefour, and wholesalers. </span>

The Bosch brand is primarily that so it would seem. Perhaps the battery comes cheaper from Carrefour?

Adverc sell a good range of Varta batteries which I believe are the same as the Bosch range (just different labels) - they are quite friendly and willing to give advice will also give you sizes, weights etc. They also deliver free to most places! Well did to me!
