Finally going to try to get up to Imperial Wharf ( from Essex Marina) this Sunday as long as I can refuel Monday for the return trip (from one of the bunker barges)Cant be bothered with St Kats & Imperial looks nice. Got to make a couple of calls to confirm things but heres hopeing!

Just upstream of Chelsea Marina the other side of Battersea Rail Bridge. It's alongside pontoon berths in the river so no locks and tides to worry about.

Berth booked, fuel discussed, weather still looks OK. Looks as though my Thames/London 'cherry' is about to go Hope there wont be too much of a chop going out & around Foulness as there was when I went to Chatham in the old bayliner. Scared me! Not going for Havengore as probably not enough water

Made it---with issues!!!!!

Had a good trip to Imperial Wharf. V friendly & helpful. Left to catch the ebb Monday, took some pics of the Pink Floyd pig flying at Battersea & then BANG!
Still had a small amount of drive & limped to Westminster Boating Base pier who were very helpful & allowed us to stay overnight.We had picked up a rope & had to get a diver to remove it!London VTS put us in touch with them. After that, fueled up outside St Kats & apart from fog around Foulness we had a good trip. Have to save up for some more fuel now!!

I have friend who says that he would only go to London by boat in company for that reason - rubbish in the water. Glad you made it and survived!
