Hi Steve so you are still in Ionion we have moved to Turkey IMO 30% cheeper, better winds 4/5 mosts days and marinas that are spotlesly clean.plenty of very good places to anchor. The locals are plesent to not like the Greeks around the islands near Athens. Cheers bobt
go to bbc weather select greece then pick either prevessa or corfu for a five day forecast.cooling down now and the odd 3 day overcast and thunderstorms period.
We usually base our tactics on info we get from www.meteo.gr
This has good sailing maps. Unfortunately it is in Greek. BUT with two clics you go graphical. This is how it goes ; You place your cursor on the fourth place from the top left blue arrows (sea prognosis) then from the new vertical box you hit the second from top (sailing maps) and there you go. After that it is graphical. A bit slow maybe.
Just another option.
Regards
George
Worked in Nidri, Lefkas, for Falcon (now Nielson) many years ago, our sail maker had a great saying which was 95% accurate for Nidri- wind in the north sun shines forth, wind in the south its going to rain like a barsterd (said in west country tractor driving accent)
