Try this site, gives winds for up to one week in advance http://www.wetterzentrale.de/topkarten/fsavneur.html
It's a German weather but if you look at the 10M wind analysis, give wind speeds over europe.

All you have to learn are about 10 basic weather words and you're away on a hack.

(By the way, pity Kim won't let you add sound to your guitar player ! )

From the mueller charts.....

It's gonna stay windy next 2 days, though not quite as windy as today. Then will slacken off but only to 4s, ish. Direction should have some north in it, so not a massive swell building up.

If you are planning to go straight across the gulf of Lion in one hit, then Thursday is looking like the best day to do it. Meantime, dunno how you will cope 3 days in Toulon with nuthin to do......

Next weekend looks good for the last push to Gib. There should be East in the wind then so nice and comfy, and looks no worse than 4-5ish (though the charts that far out are unreliable, as indeed is this entire post........)
