After a week or two out of the water during some of the coldest weather recently, have done all the tarting up stuff such as getting hull polished and assorted mending jobs like the "P" bracket saga..
It was during the polish "n" antifoul stage that a mysterious skin fitting came to our notice.
Bit close to the waterline to be ignored.
After various fruitless expeditions under the floorboards and experimenting with pouring water down pipes it became clear that the pipe concerned disappeared somewhere some where into the bowels of the ship reappearing and connected to the pressurised water system. ?????
Ho hum.
Nearly got 15 knots on way back to RCC,mind you that was with no dinghys/liferafts/gennies/bedding/spare clothes or waterproofs/ no enough collapsable seats to seat an army, very little water/fuel and no booze.
My collection of sockets that will fit nothing and a tool box of nothing useful weighting about a ton remained an board simply not having the energy to take it off.
Looking forward to going somewhere.
