Hi,
I learned to sail in Wayfarer and Bosuns, both stable and enjoyable to sail, great for day sailing.
I recently moved to Sydney Australia and am champing at the bit to get sailing again. However I don't have a competitive bone in my body, racing just isn't my bag. The idea of wafting up lonley creeks and camping overnight in a sturdy daysailing dinghy is exactly what I'm after.
The problem is this, every club here seems to be set up for racing, so I need to buy something like a Bosun but they don't have them here. Can anyone recommend a good day sailing boat that I'll be able to get my hands on at a reasonable price here?
Pacers are all I've been offered, and they just don't fit the bill. It's all Lasers and Hobies and Picos and racing round the cans.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
