Watts to Amps

I am having a brainstorm and can't remember how to convert Watts to Amps and want to buy an electric oven to use in marinas in Spain where the Voltage is 220v and the supply is 16amps. The oven i am interested in is rated at 1450w.
Please Help

watts = volts x amps

16 amps at 220 volts means you can power up to a total of 3.5 kwatts

mr Google is your friend

"convert watts to amps" gave me this The formula for converting Watts to Amps is : Watts = Amps * Volts The formula for converting Amps to Watts is : Amps = Watts / Volts SAFTEY ...

Remember though that the amps are cumulative and to take into account all other equipment drawing power such as battery charger, immersion heater etc. Also the consumer unit is most likely split into separate circuits and each one won't draw the full 16 amps, only a proportion of it.

16amps is not the supply, that will be the max current draw without tripping the protection. As said its cumulative. Amps drawn by your oven is watts divided by volts.
