How often should a water pump impeller be replaced on a 85hp 2-stroke Yamaha outboard (in tropics) ?

Hello all. this is my first time here but I think it may not be my last I am recommissioning my Yamaha 647 8A 1972 8 hp P165 two-cylinder outboard motor after it had been laid up for 30 years it has only got approximately 30 hours run time from new and I am hoping someone can help me with the following. Thanks in advance
1: Anyone know where I can get a workshop manual for this motor, I have an owner’s manual, but it doesn’t go into enough detail. I have been able to find parts catalogues on various web sites which helps identifying parts which are also compatible from other models
2: I am replacing the rubber water seal and impellor on the water pump
the top two holes one each side in the water pump delivery outlet are for the retaining tabs on the rubber water seal ! reference the lower hole of three holes what is this hole for ? see attached picture any help will be appreciated.
