Waterproofing Stitching

I have noticed my canopy has some sort of glue or waterproofing on the inside of the stitching, could someone let me know what it is and where to get it? I need to do a few repairs.

I'm not absolutely sure but it may be double-sided sticky tape. Used to hold panels in position whilst they are being stitched together.

You can get tape (like the type on the inside of Gore-Tex clothes covering the stitching).

Google fabric suppliers. They usually have some.

Trouble is, I think it needs heat applied (could be wrong)

Google 'tent seam sealer', there will be lots of options. It is basically like a glue pen.

Its definitely not a tape it looks like it has been brushed on, I took the advise and Googled Tent Seam Sealer, there is lots, here is one http://www.terra-nova.co.uk/tents-and-spares/all-tent-accessories/seam-sealer-glue/ so I now know what I am looking for thank you everyone for your help

Mask the sides and use 'Stormsure' glue. Excellent product, used to reseal scuba drysuit seams.
