My Sea-Panther (i.e. Ford 1600) has a small oil drip from what I take to be the oil pump. (R.H. side of engine, oil filter screws on underneath?) Do these pumps have gaskets? The drip seems to be from the outside end, where there is a plate held by 4 bolts (if I remember aright - I am not aboard at this moment.)

Sorry about all the brackets.

Thanks for quick help. Are these gaskets easy to source? Standard Ford fitting, or what?

I belive there is a gaskit between the pump and the block but a O-ring between the pump and the end plate. I am only 90% shaw, but if I am right do not add a gaskit as the end flot is critical to the working of the pump. Do not over tighten the bolts.
