Really miffed. I've got a pair of Vetus waterlocks fitted to my Broom 42 (8 inch feeds) and the moulding has split just below the circlamp holding the two halves together. These are about £450 squids each! They're only a few years old so not best pleased. Anyone had any success welding thermoplastic? What if I just remove them altogether (she is unlikely to see rough water again). Ideas anyone? Please?

There are specialist Companies that weld thermoplastic very well used one years ago with success.
If you find one you could get some strengthening ribs added as well so it doesnt happen again. Only an idea.

Just looked up Tek-Tanks - seem to be ideal. Many thanks for the tip. If they can re-inforce the seams that would be excellent! It just gauls me to have to get it done when one should reasonably expect them to do the job almost indeffinately - no rust, no moving parts, nothing.
