Pump briefly cycles about every 10min.

Checked for leaks and cannot find any.

Is loosing pressure a common fault on these pumps after 13yrs?

yes, most likely cause is a one way valve in the pump leaking back up the pipe. You wont see it outside, but your pressure will drop.
Causes: cracked rubber valve or dirt preventing proper valve closure.

clean and inspect the pump valves. Replace if in doubt about their serviceability.

Check and clean the strainer on the pump suction......... Fit one if there is not one

Depending on how things are fitted, a pressure relief valve is another source of 'leaks'.
