water in cylinder(s) of VP2030D?

I'm not sure why you are quoting me and then simply repeating my point that the injectors should be closed ..... unless they're defective, of course.

Richard

Not sure why the repeat quoting but perhaps he is trying to highlight that one cannot 'close' the injectors as such. They are operated by fuel pressure alone.

You don't say. ;)

If you can force water up through the injectors as the OP originally suggested, then the injectors must be damaged or loose (and the water is coming past them) and hence they are clearly not as closed as they should be.

I think we may be the victims of imprecise language here.

I do not believe the O/P suggested water was being passed through the injectors. He does talk about removing the injectors/glow plugs and hand barring to expel water. But he does also talk about slackening the fuel injector fuel feed couplings.

If you are talking about removing the injectors or fitting them and tightening them down - then that would be parlance I recognise but I would not assign that as injectors open or closed.

I must confess it is difficult to keep up.

He said he had "slacked the injector feed pipes", which was specifically to release the water trapped in the cylinder. I said that the injectors should be closed and therefore he would not be able to release the water that way.

I don't understand why that exchange has provoked commentary.

I will leave you to your own devices.
