Only been in the med for a month or so, but been out nearly every day. There are obviously many differences between the med and the UK, but the one that I haven't worked out yet is why you rag and stick folk over there don't get all worked up about wash? In fact mobos, yotties and PWCs all share the same bit of sometimes crowded water, and yet not a raised fist or temper in sight.

Why? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Thats easy there are so many MOBOs and the waters so confused with wash from every direction that you dont notice it as you would a line of mobos wash. MOBOs rarly get far ofshore where sailboat are and most sailing boats are just as fast or faster in the case of cats and tris than mobos,so arnt constantly passed.

A second reason is that in the bays where theres a lot of traffic sailboats have to keep a good look out to be able to try to avoid being run down, and getting angry with a mobo drivers serves no purpose as they have very thick skins

In fact thinking about it when going to port cross or cannes mobos have never been a problem once at sea? theres always a large sepration, strange that in UK / Baltic mobos are an absolute pest but far less so in the med

I tghink you are rather leaping to conclusions here with only a small amount of research. I mean, have you found a lone yottie and driven round him a few times yet? Or got about 30 other boats on a rally and blammed into Cabrera where the speed limit says no wash but the rally orgainsers say it's ok - but in fact they hadn't actually cleared everyone to go as fast as they like? That wd soon gettem going.

Do they provide soap and towels, and is the water clean enough? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
