I remember when the US Navy Seals invaded the Isle of Arran in the Firth of Clyde... mid-90's sometime.
They landed from ribs and struck inland, due East looking for RAF Machrahanish. Problem is the airfield they were to zap is on the Mull of Kintyre... due West and the other side of the Kilbrannan Sound.
Cutting it short, after wandering around all night they were put on the right track by an auxiliary coastguard when they invaded his croft.
Maybe the Marines are taking integration with NATO too far!
