Re: Oooh bash a newbie time again.

Grumpy old Herr Kapatain (Perkins)Clive or what.
Has somebody been having a go about Br**ms and n*t c*****ns again.
He will now be in a mood for weeks and the intake of pot noodle will rocket.

And here is the weekend weather..

Re: Oooh bash a newbie time again.

Oy that hit me you grumpy oldgit. Clive is one up.

Anyway if newbees want to enter the fray wielding the sword of sarcasm they shouldn't get upset if someone parries and lunges a bit.

All IMHO etc.

Re: Ok then time to bash an oldgit instead.

Now it appears you've missed the point (read my post carefully). The sarcasm was aimed at me, not the other way round soppy oldgit. And I'm never grumpy see

And anyway far from having a go at Brooms I've had compliments from Canboria and Tr7v8 after Sunday trip so there.

Boys Boys Boys

You're at it again arn't you and your behaviour is so predictable. Always involves some or all of the following steps

1. Newbie appears and often gets profuse welcome

2. Newbie offers an opinion or tries humour

3. Someone has a dig

4. Feeding frenzy starts

5. Someone sensible calls a halt. Has been byron or tcm and this time Learner

6. Everyone involved tries to justify actions

7. Eventually cover yourselves in sackcloth and ashes and resolve to reform

8. Lay in wait for next one!!!!

No wonder men are the weaker sex. C'mon. Kiss and make up. Pleeeeease

Re: Oooh bash a newbie time again.

Good evening all

Sorry I had to flee the arena but thought someone had to do a bit to keep the world turning.

In the interests of peace and harmony, I've conceded the point about Profiles and have entered (what I hope is)enough to satisfy curiosity. In return, I hope that Mr Neighbour - in time I hope to be able to call him Clive - will concede that he was just the tiniest bit grauchy. C'mon Clive, you know you want to - and I want to be your friend!

Or mebbe tcm can jump the gun?

So looks like MBM's doing a boat test. Maybe we could persuade tcm to do one of his reviews first then compare one against t'other.

Vaguely remember him doing one a year or so ago and gave me a few giggles but apprantly he got a rocket from IPC for nicking all their best lines.

So c'mon tcm, any chance of a review?

Wow look at that, stranger to first name turms in 11 words /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

I'll be your friend, in fact I thought it was all a bit of the usual banter but you now how sensative the more mature members can get to the feelings of others.

So tell us all about the GB46, must be nearly as bit as a Broom inside and I bet it's got some great net curtains /forums/images/icons/smile.gif. Which coast of Ireland is it on or is it in the UK?

Clearly you missed it as well, I did not dig at a newbie I merely answered a question put by a Newbie "Jakes the editor of MBM" I says, and gets a not a thanky ou but a silly sarcy reply for no apparent reason thats all there is to it.

Re: Oooh bash a newbie time again.

Hi Siobhan, I get it now you did know who Jake was after all, and were only kidding when you asked who he was, hence the "steps back in amazement" bit on your reply.

Anyway all behind us, I feel we know each other quite well now so you can call me Clive if I can call you Siobhan. (just got to figure out how to pronounce it now)

I'll get ribbed for this but where is ROI ? and is the GB in the Med ?
Regards CGN

Great! I\'ve got another friend

Good Morning Clive.

Glad that little misunderstanding was cleared up. Just to complete the picture, the reference to Ian Hislop was because of the (alleged) similarities with former editor Kim H. Sorry it all fell a bit flat

Youre not the first to have trouble with the name - not in the UK at least. But you should hear the mess the French make of it!! I console myself that I have a name that sounds better than it spells. But thats the Irish for you. Now do you know where the ROI is?

KevL - Oi'l be happy to be your friend too Thanks for the offer

boomer - thaks for your input and the PM

Off to work, now a happy bunny!

Yep! Jake is definately leaving the post of MBM's Editor. As regards Clive, be gentle with him, its his age. He's a lot better here than when he appears as his true self as one of the OLD GITS.

MBM reader\'s special report

We went on an Atlantis 20. And it was very nice. My wife liked the new kettle. I thought it was great. The boat, not the kettle.

For the test we went to the channel Islands. First we went to Guernsey on an aeroplane. Then we went to Alderney. Also, Herm which is another of the Channel Islands. Them we went back to Guernsey to give the boat back.

The Editor wanted to know all about the boat, but really, it was going too fast to find out. Afterwards, it was too hot in the engine room to have a proper look. Also, he wanted to know if I wd buy one. I said why, are you paying then? We all laughed.

will this do?
