wareham trip.

Re: Wareham Gang BURGEE

I liked the 'old one' - where can we get them - are they still available?
presumably the IPR on the old one is held jointly by members of the forum so we could get new ones made to the old design at this new place............??

Re: Wareham Gang BURGEE

Suspect if we ask Haydn nicely and put in a bulk order, he can get them made quite easily as his manufacturers already have logo??

Re: Wareham Gang BURGEE

Haydns your man alright. He also got polo shirts sorted with the logo embroided on it. Bit much for me that, but the burgees always up. Thats how I met Geoffs in studland.

Yeah! I know its running rough, but your lucky its running at all!!

Re: Wareham Gang BURGEE

What you on about, from that the Bankes arms trip was organised, then last weekend, next it'll be...................?

The piccys turned out well. Pity you didn't get my good side/forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Re: Wareham Gang BURGEE

Swans, bones and compasses.......don't tell me, the club motto goes something like.........Mama, just killed a man put my gun against his head pulled my trigger now he's dead.........../forums/images/icons/wink.gif

Re: Wareham Gang BURGEE

Anyone got any ideas for a 'simple' Burgee, I think the trail of destruction one with swan bones e.t.c. would be a bit complicated!! I think someone with knowledge of Burgee designs should put themselves forward for this one, I'm new to boating so unable to assist with this one I'm afraid.

Re: Wareham Gang BURGEE

Well if you really want one, apart from the forum one, Wareham's on the river Frome which runs into Poole harbour. The unofficial emblem of Poole is a Dolphin, na I don't know why either, and Warham has a bridge. So what about a dolphin jumping a bridge.........to sensible!

Re: Wareham Gang BURGEE

Nice one Barry, we are getting there, I think that it would be nice to have something that shows people from all around coming together for a common purpose i.e. boating.

Just an idea to go with Barry's.

Re: Wareham Xmas Bash, limited places

Made you look he,he, !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Dolphin

Ok, what about a pint glass with a propeller or an anchor in it. I thought we had the forum burgee anyway!

Yeah! I know its running rough, but your lucky its running at all!!

Re: Dolphin

Or a Dolphin jumping out of a pint glass, over a bridge and getting saved from the prop by a swan who had just had a near miss with a walkabout.

Re: what happened

That's bloomin rough. No yellow lines, signs or nothing? Bad luck to be ticketed out of season, on a Sunday. I wonder who did, didn't see any traffice wardens, but did see a man in a Dorset County Coucil sweater, bet it was him the ..........!

Sorry I only got to speak to you as you were saying goodbye.

Re: Wareham Gang BURGEE

What's all these swans, bones, bridges and dolphins etc. We've got the drunken mouse, he's good enough, ain't he. I'm sure Haydn would get more for those who want them, I'll need a new one next year, 600 miles flapping in the breeze, and it's in shreds.

Re: Dolphin

Don't be daft Barry, the propellor would froth the beer up too much!!

Re: Wareham Gang BURGEE

Right changing the subject a bit. The next one. Geoffs uses about the same amount as fuel as me, we've got average sort of boats. So Aztec wanted to go to Newtown Creek for another little drink and nosebag. What about mulling the idea over, it'll give him a bit of a target to get his tub up and running as well. Its sort of central to most people. Or another good idea, put forward by duncan, is a bit os a beach barbie on one of the islands in the harbour. Thoughts!
