Sorry, gave you a bad steer. They don't, I have just called them. I was given this tip at the Bealieu Boat Jumble yesterday as I am looking for the mounting plates/brackets and instructions. If you find a source I would be grateful to hear as I could perhaps source my base plates through the same source.
re spinner for Walker knotmaster, I recently bought some as new ones from Robert White at Robert White instruments in Boston, he mailed them to me in the Uk, for a reasonable price. He is very helpful, and has various other spares as well, contact him through his website www.robertwhite.com. Otherwise keep an eye on the auction site ebay where I have bought complete Knotmasters with all the bits, but of course this is a more expensive option. Good luck,
Murray
Walkers stock was taken over by Lilley & Gillie in N.Shields (tel 0191 257 2217) but at my last contact in '04 they only had a few mounting shoes. The logs often come up on eBay (enter 'Walker log') or boat jumbles are a good source.
What part of ths instructions do you need. If you only want a small part I can type them up and pm them.
As far as baseplates go you could easily make them from a piece of flat brass then mount them on spacers. (One day I'm going to sell my spare ones and make a fortune!)
I looked at that site and they are expensive!!!!!! I have a Danforth compass which is always on my boat, at $2500 their price im going to put it below in future!
Silly prices asked make us all the more likly to be robbed, and then the items sold for $50,when if the quoted price was more normal $3/400 theive might continue to target MOBS.and electric chart plotters.
