Walk in showers

No, you enjoy a shower all the more when it is well earnt and days overdue!
Our granddaughters demand 2 showers per day as a birthright. We, as far as is possible, try to humour them as the payback is when we are old and decrepit they will recall our generosity and look after us.

There must be upsides to being grandparents and investing in our future with showers is a small price to pay.

When I was a kid, 1960s, my family were intending to emigrate to Australia. My sister and I read avidly a few leaflets my parents had obtained about life in Australia, which mentioned that Australians showered daily. (It also mentioned that there were serious water shortages in some cities!) This was very strange to us. A shower was what you had when you got out of the water at the public swimming baths. We'd never come across a shower in a private home, and we couldn't imagine why there might be a need to do more than our daily head/arms washes and weekly baths. (Saturday night was bath night.)
