Tried that with a longboard and a rib a while ago. Rib didn't really generate enough wake, so spied an approaching MOBO with a suitably large wake, rib driver shoots off after it to tow me into the wake. MOBO turns on blue lights "evening lads, did you know there was an 8 knot speed limit hereabouts?" Only police launch between london and Harwich!

(before I get stick about speed limits should probably point out that this was march and there was literaly nothing else in sight, except the police launch!)

Not really sure, I was 20 foot behind a rib doing about 20 on a surfboard with a serious speed wobble at the time......
