Hi folks,I just bought a waeco cf 35 off E-BAY and it works a treat, very impressed with it.
My question is,
Has anyone bought one of the waeco insulating covers and are they worth having/the money?

I have a CF 18 and Just wondered if any one has noticed by fitting one of these jackets whether it makes a difference to length of time between motor start up times as my fridge motor starts up every 8 mins and runs for about 1 min 20 seconds 24/7 which drives me nuts more so at night when trying to sleep.

Insulation

I have a CF25 and have noticed using it in the car on freeze mode that there are some very cold patches of the outer skin.(especially underneath) Obviously a lot of cold loss there. I have been meaning to make a cover out of old sails and foam.
I would make a complete bag for the fridge then cut out round holes for the ventilation. 2 small 12v fans then would be attached to the cover one to blow one to suck air through the ventilation holes. This I think would make the whole thing more efficient.
Obviously any external insulation has to allow cooling of the compressor and condensor.
As for it running over night I would go for insulation then turn it off when you sleep. good luck olewill
