I think YouTube "Experts" serve a useful purpose, and many are entertaining at the same time. They are generally not experts as you say, but they learned from the resources available including the manufacturer instructions. If they do it wrong, something needs to change that led them to do it wrong. Manufacturers can learn a lot from this kind of thing. As long as they later own up, it's all good. Uma recently explained how wrong their hot water system was on the first go, it took them a long time but they got there in the end
I work in the world of tech, and watching YouTube videos of people doing things I'm an expert in shows me all the ways people misunderstand the tech. That allows me to add more explanation for my customers to make sure they won't make the same mistakes. In tech as with so many things, people also do things wrong because they are experts but in a previous iteration. Expert A: "this is definitely how you do it" Expert B: "No, that WAS how you did it 10 years ago".
