VP pattern filters

The genuine 'Perkins' filters are cheaper than the genuine 'Volvo' filters, look identical, and are what Parts4Engines supply. It is after all a Perkins engine. I found a cheaper source last time I bought a batch was French Marine.

Edit - P4E seem cheaper now.

Once you have the part numbers for alternatives you can of course shop locally if you wish .
Delivery costs for mail order can be significant so I usually by a batch of filters to get best value .
Some of the filters for my engine have rise in price considerably over the last year.

Have never yet found a cheaper source of quality named filters than my local motorfactor, there will be one on any decent industrial estate and usually used by the trade.
Look for a scruffy tipper lorry or tractor unit parked outside and the driver walking out with an armful of oil/air filters.
Independant outfits used by the trade are usually cheaper than the nationwide chain outfits who advertise online which also retail to the public with vast but illusory discounts.
P&P is always added to websales one way or another.

That's great, partsforengines look the business, at first glance I don't see the small element filter attached to the engine next to the spin on one but will give them a call . Thanks all .

Now another query. My current filter has 2 outlets. The one for £65 on parts4engines that is like a racor only has one outlet. Currently my heater comes directly from one of the filter ports is it ok to install with a tee piece

The heater usually has a dedicated pick up pipe which stops higher in the fuel tank compared to the engine fuel pick up pipe. This is to ensure the heater can't be responsible for completely running you out of fuel for the engine.
