Hi you have nearly got it right apart from each drive has nearly 5.5 litres of oil, and you need to fill it in a special way so not to cause an airlock.

The drives are very heavy dont try it on your own, make sure you set the trim and steering indicators up before it goes back in the water.

Thanks Paul
Will not be doing it myself, a friend who is a marine engineer will do it I am getting the parts and being his grease monkey for the weekend.
Cheers

You don't always need new prop nuts. Occasionally the rear prop nut nylon insert gets damaged on removal and it's a good idea to replace this if in any doubt (those props are very expensive). As Paul says the oil needs to be filled correctly.

The exhaust bellows is not as important as the drive/uj bellows. I would only replace it if the old ones are damaged or the rubber has gone hard.

You will also need 10 of the stainless steel and two of the brass split pins (don't know the part numbers)

If your boat is med based you should check the clevis pins on the tie bar for corrosion and the steering ram seals.

On big "Nyloc" nuts ( like used on the DPS and DPH drive propshafts), you can "rejuvenate" the self locking function using a centre punch on the nut; this compresses the nylon insert inwards, so it becomes self locking again.
