A review in the most recent Cruising Association magazine such that I'm going to order it, but no colour photographs & cheaply put together (deliberately re green issues) the review said.
It's a good read, esp. for those interested in back-to-basics sailing, singlehanded. B&W pics, but as good as any other paperback for quality build. Colour pics on his website. cheers
Hey, my copy is top quality - no tree bark paper or whatever. Just like any paper back from WH Smith -actually a bit better because it is larger than many paperbacks and a nice colour photo front and back.
Good quick read and some very interesting opinions. "No place for a sliding hatch in an ocean going boat"? Like his emphasis on small manageable boats.
Envy his practical skills - building his own boat and then sailing it across the Tasman sea (smallest boat ever to do so) makes a great story.
Could be a dangerous book though - really made me want to do the Jester Challenge!
