Is 20 years a lot for a Volvo 2002.How can I know if there is a lot of corrosion and others problems
Thanks

After 20 years there is bound to be some corrosion and wear - that's why boats with new engines cost more!

Corrosion will be less if it fresh-water cooled. If it has good compression, starts easily, runs and revs freely, doesn't vibrate a lot and doesn't smoke when warm then it's doing its job. Many boats have engines that old (including mine) - age is not the issue but hours (or even lack of them with lots of cold running) and good maintenance in the past.

You need to take the injectors out ,not an easy job on these engines as they tend to stick and you need the correct puller, although i removed mine out of my 2001 with a tyre lever, and screw the tester in then turn the engine over on the starter, but why bother if its starting ok and doesnt smoke too much(it will on tickover) i would not worry too much.
