Hi everyone I’m new here normally I would ask this question at boatdiesel but since that website appears to be permanently disabled I decided to try one of the other boating forums on here. I’ve got a TAMD 74 EDC engine on my commercial fishing boat and after using it for the last 4 months it all of a sudden started only starting in limp mode. When I press the active station (key button) on the control pad the red light that normally is supposed to stay solid red all day blinks a bunch then goes out. If you start it, it immediately goes to 1000 rpm and the throttle is disabled and will not work. I have tried a new control pad, key switch, examined the plugs on wiring harness that I could see and cleaned and reconnected, checked grounds and positives on starter, disconnecting battery and reconnecting and nothing has worked. Has anyone had something similar happen? I also attempted to recalibrate the controls and when I tried the red and yellow light on the control bad just blinked simultaneously and would accept my inputs. Is there anyone on here familiar with these engine and know what it could be that’s causing this? Any ideas would be great
