Hey guys I’m replacing my oil pressure switch and looking at alternative one that will match the original without the big price tag has anyone every used alternative one other than the original.

Hi Marty, I'm looking to do the same on my 41p. However, what is the original? Volspec show part number 866835, Keypart 866833 ? Either way, very pricey, be interested if you find a cheaper equivalent. Whereabouts on the engine is it fitted?

I have ended up biting the bullet and ordered original updated version part number 863169 and up updated conversion connector part number 873601 and both purchased from https://www.keypart.com/volvo-penta/diesel-engine/tamd41a/19861989

My oil pressure switch was located just beside oil cooler

It was the sender I was researching, sorry for the confusion. Think I will need to call Keyparts as there sender is different to the Volspec one.

Oil pressure sender unit is located the right of the oil cooler.
