Are these good engines they are with EDC what is this and do these engines use the Volvo is it VDOcontrol

We had 74P's in our S48. In my view, superb engines. Simple, straight 6 turbocharged units, cruise effortlessly at 2000 rpm and seemingly bomb proof.
