Keep an eye on seawater pump as leaks get sprayed over the timing belts which gunge up jump idler knacker valves etc

I don’t think the same Solex was used on any car.

Volvo cars with solex carbs must of had chokes I wonder if. They could be adapted. Or even Stromberg carbs fitted.
Volvo’s had them years ago.

Thanks everyone for there interest and input. My boat is a Sealine 195 which I’m hoping to restore to former glory the engine Aq151c is out (never heard it going and trying to do all the things I need to before putting it back in boat ).
I have it on a bakers crate/ trolley at the moment. Trying to get it running and tuned.
Im from Belfast. But have a contact in Scotland who has dozens and dozens of Volvo car engines it was he who suggested. Stromberg carbs. As he has them. Also Diesel engines + V8 petrol car engines.
