Hi all,

A quick question... Are these considered to be good/great/excellent.compared to the 'D' series engines. What are their good and bad points?

I notice they were in some of the early 2000's Princesses, and they are on my short(ish)list.

Thanks for your input.

Good solid engine no major pitfalls. The ECU shortage referred to above by Scala is now being addressed by Volvo

Have been running a pair for 5 years, great engines, simple maintenance, no temperature / electrical issues ( for me anyway ) and plenty of power in a P42. Feels like the raw water impellers would last forever as i have a bucket full of perfect ones that have been changed !. Fuel burn over a season is about 1 mpg. Just check the remote oil filter hoses and that the engine anodes have been done regularly.
