54-74 water temp in lake over last few sea trials.......water coming out from exhaust equally.....everything else has been looked at ......buyer taking boat as is tomorrow but I will be check a few more things out today hate letting a boat go that's not right. Full throttle run 5 minutes gauge goes to 225-250 then alarm sounds....... thanks
Ok. Got you. Sounds like it could be an issue with the internal fresh water cooling system perhaps. I’d crack open the vent on top of the turbo and make sure there is no air in there. Should see coolant coming out there. That’s the highest part of the system. You may have lost some coolant and suffered an air lock.

I have the same engine. I don’t think 74 degrees is overheating. But 225-250 degrees is mad! Is coolant liquid even possible to boil to that high temperature? I thought the maximum temperature for water is around 100 degrees.

I think it would be more than 100oc to boil (being under pressure)…but also think he mean Fahrenheit when he says 225-250 ? I’d hope ! I asked the same question around the 74 degrees. If I’ve read it right, he may mean the water temp the boat is in in Fahrenheit. Not sure.
